Hurricane Cliffs is BLM dispersed camping just outside the city of Hurricane, close enough to Zion, Sand Hollow State Park, and St. George to work as a basecamp for southwest Utah without paying for a developed site anywhere.

Getting There
From Hurricane, head toward the cliffs area on the edge of town via local BLM access roads, well documented on OHV and camping apps. Dispersed pull-offs are scattered across open desert terrain with views toward Zion and Pine Valley Mountains.
What to Expect
Open desert camping close enough to town to run into cell signal and supplies easily, a practical basecamp rather than a wilderness escape. Expect some OHV traffic in the area, as this land sees multiple uses beyond camping.
Good to Know
Because of its low elevation, this area gets brutally hot in summer, plan trips for fall through spring instead. Being minutes from Hurricane makes it a convenient staging spot before or after a trip into Zion, Sand Hollow, or Snow Canyon.
