Why Free Camping in Utah Works So Well
Utah's BLM holdings run to roughly 22.8 million acres — the second-largest BLM footprint of any state — plus more than 8 million acres of national forest. Dispersed camping is legal on most of it, subject to the standard 14-day stay limit, provided you stick to existing routes and previously used sites.
